Summer Internship at Tall Storeys Collaborative, 2023
These projects and models were all done during my 2023 summer internship with Tall Storeys Collaborative in Kormangala, Bangalore. For two months, I worked along side the team and helped them with client meetings, mood boards, gave them suggestions if needed and also helped in create furniture that were in par with the clients' requirements. I also assisted in conversing with vendors, building a small model and an animation.
Bathroom Interiors
I visited the site once and took notes of the already used tiles in the bathrooms and measurements. I was asked to work on the interiors of the bathrooms and this is how it looked towards the end.

I designed two vanities for the residence the team was working on and these were the two vanities I made.

Animating the Before and After of a Bungalow
The software I used to animate this was procreate. Since this was my first time animating anything, it was quite challenging. I gave it my all and did my best.
The animation essentially shows the transformation of the bungalow and the park it's built beside. It shows how, from a plain cricket field, the park came to be with the bungalow overseeing it's lush greenery and bustle as people and animals move about in the park.
Illustrations made by me of the side view of the house. This facade was the main focal point of the house as it faced the park and had many windows and view points.
To start off, I did some ideations in SketchUp with models that were already made and also made concept animations on procreate first.

Trying to get a better understanding of how the sections of the building would move was cruicial to get it done right. I section them into more simpler shapes and labelled them.
Rough Concept Animations:
Done using Procreate. This mainly an ideation and a concept on how the initial bungalow can be broken apart to introduce the new one.
Timelapse of the Site:
This time-lapse was done by taking screen shots of the site through the years on Google Earth and compiling these screenshots. This was done mainly to understand the change of the site and also tell us the story of how the bungalow came to be and the thought process of it.
The Final Animation:
This was the final iteration and output. This style of animation seemed much clearer and better. It also provided insight on the line of vision as well as the park development.
